We've been featured in the Daily Texan!

Bridge to Wellness Foundation was recently featured in The Daily Texan for our work providing free, accessible online counseling to Austin’s unhoused population. The article highlights how our student-led nonprofit partners with Synergy eTherapy to deliver a six-session mental health program and connect clients to vital resources such as housing support, job opportunities, and addiction recovery services. The article also details our progress with our first client Detra, and includes statements from prominent UT faculty in the department of psychiatry.

The Problem

In Texas, over 27,000 people are experiencing homelessness, and nearly half face mental health challenges. Yet high therapy costs, ranging from $60 to $200 per session, makes access nearly impossible for those without stable income or insurance, leaving critical needs unmet.
